Ett bevis på att religion är stort här
Idag när jag tankade så såg jag små reklamlappar med vad jag trodde var reklam för armén, eftersom att jag associerar bilden på Uncle Sam med armén och deras slogan "I want you for US army". Coolt, tänkte jag, en sån måste jag ha! Mer amerikanskt kan det ju inte bli? Så, jag tog den här lilla lappen i god tro, tills jag börjar läsa på baksidan.
Author Studs Terkel once said that he would like to interview God "on why there is so much misery...so much horror" That´s not necessary. We can be guided "thru the night with a light from above" by God´s Word as to what brings misery to a nation...if we will listen. God´s blessings are dependant on "righteousness." Should God bless America? You be the judge:
- Adultery: 50-60% of married couples admit to adultery.
- Fornication: 45 million are infected with the virus that causes genital herpes.
- Pornography: 665 million porn videos were rented back in 1996.
- Abortion: Over one million children are murdered through abortion each year.
- Greed: We visit casinos more often than professional sporting events.
- Murder: Approx. 200,000 murders during the 1990s
Do you think we deserve God´s blessing? Have you ever lied or stolen? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust for her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Ever looked with lust? If you said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart. Will you be innocent or guilty on Judgement Day? Listen to your consciense. You know that you will be guilty, and end up in Hell. That´s not God´s will. He provided an escape. He sent his son to take your punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death. Pray something like this: "Dear God, I repent of all sin. I put my trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me and grant me your gift of everlasting life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen." Then read the Bible daily and obey what you read (see John 14:21). God will never let you down.
Usch, jag blir upprörd. I början låter det inte så hemskt men sen flippar det bara mer och mer. Nu får ni tycka vad ni vill men jag har väldigt starka tankar emot religion och tycker att det är hjärntvätt och sektvarning på hela alltet. Synd för mig att jag kommer hamna i helvetet, men sånt är väl livet antar jag. Det är den vägen Gud har valt åt mig.
